Cat and Mitsubishi lift trucks come from the same organization, and that is the point most buyers miss about Cat forklifts. They share engineering, components and a service network. So parts for a used Cat are much easier to get than the fairly low number of Cat machines in any market would suggest. If you have avoided used Cats because you assumed parts would be hard to find, think again.
Cat trucks carry strong resale value. It is not at Toyota levels, but it is well above the middle of the market. The internal combustion lineup in particular has a good reputation for durability in demanding conditions. That makes Cat a sensible fit for the mixed indoor and outdoor work common in Harford and Carroll counties and along the US-40 corridor. There, a single truck has to handle a warehouse aisle and a gravel yard in the same shift.
Supply is the real limit. There are fewer Cat forklifts around Baltimore than Hyster or Toyota. So availability in any given capacity and setup is harder to predict. When a good one comes through, we will tell you. When one does not, we will say so, and we will not push a machine that does not fit the job.

4 What capacity Cat forklift do I need?
Choose a Cat forklift rated for your heaviest realistic load, not your average one. Capacity drops as lift height rises and when you add attachments. This is called derating. A truck rated 5,000 lb at a 24-inch load center (the distance from the fork face to the middle of the load) may handle much less at full mast extension with a clamp. We work back from your real loads and lift heights before quoting.
