Dundalk is a port town, and most forklift work here ties back to Dundalk Marine Terminal on Broening Highway. That terminal covers 570 acres and has 13 berths. It handles containers, autos, roll-on/roll-off cargo (vehicles and machines driven on and off ships), and farm and construction equipment. Dundalk is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County with 67,796 people in the 2020 census. Much of it was built starting in 1916 as housing for shipyard workers. Today, warehouses, truck yards and small plants fill the land between the terminal, Holabird Avenue and North Point Boulevard (MD 151). The Beltway (I-695) runs through Dundalk, but since the Key Bridge fell in March 2024, it no longer crosses the Patapsco River here.
