1 LP or diesel?
Choose LP when a truck moves between outdoors and a well-ventilated indoor area, because LP burns cleaner. Diesel gives more torque and better fuel economy in sustained heavy outdoor duty. Diesel is usually the choice at the top of the capacity range. Neither belongs in an enclosed space without proper ventilation.
2 What is the difference between pneumatic and solid-pneumatic?
Air-filled pneumatic tires ride better on rough ground, while solid-pneumatic tires cannot puncture. Air-filled tires are the better choice on truly poor surfaces. Solid-pneumatic tires have the same tread shape but cannot go flat. That matters in yards with debris, scrap or nails. On sites where flat tires keep costing money, solid tires usually pay for themselves.
3 Can I run an IC truck indoors?
Yes, LP trucks work indoors in many warehouses with enough ventilation and proper monitoring. But if the work is mostly indoors, electric is the better choice. It wins on running cost, emissions and noise, and we will tell you so.
