Choosing
Start with Crown when the work is indoors, on a finished slab, in a tall building. The Crown range is deep on the warehouse side. Reach trucks, order pickers, turret trucks and pallet trucks outnumber its counterbalance models. Most makers are the other way around. That is why Crown suits the newer distribution buildings along I-95, around BWI and at Tradepoint Atlantic in Sparrows Point.
The filters below use real specs, not marketing classes. Capacity means the truck's rated capacity at its standard load center (the distance from the fork face to the middle of the load). It is the number on the data plate before derating. Derating is the drop in capacity from an attachment, a taller mast or a longer load center. If you are close to the limit, talk to us about derating before you order, not after.
Aisle width matters more here than capacity. A reach truck works an 8 to 10 foot aisle. A sit-down counterbalance needs 11 to 13 feet. In a building you already pay rent on, the right truck unlocks extra rows. Tell us your aisle width and how high you need to reach. We will match a truck to it.

The capacity figure is the rated capacity at the standard load center, normally 24 inches. It assumes a standard mast and no attachment. Some things lower the usable capacity below that number. These include a clamp, a rotator or a side shifter, a taller mast, or a load whose center of gravity sits farther out.
