Closer to the I-95 interchange at MD-22, flex parks such as Aberdeen Technology Park and North Gate Business Park serve businesses tied to APG. US-40 runs through town alongside I-95. That gives Aberdeen two very different kinds of forklift work in a few miles.

Two kinds of forklift work in Aberdeen

The Perryman warehouses and the APG-area flex parks need different fleets.

  • Perryman distribution: reach trucks for tall rack, electric pallet jacks for trailer loading, and several trucks per shift.
  • Flex and R&D space near MD-22: one or two compact electric trucks, often shared across a small team.

Wash them down after salty weeks and have brake lines and wiring checked. The electric trucks inside the Perryman buildings mostly meet salt at the dock, where it rides in on trailers.

From the flex parks along MD-22 to the big distribution buildings on the Perryman peninsula, fleets follow the building stock. One side is older light industrial and service buildings along US-40. The other side is large modern distribution centers on the Perryman peninsula south of town. Which one you occupy decides mast height, tire type and battery chemistry.
